How To Join

Glass City Federal Credit Union was established in 1947 to serve the employees of Libbey-Owens-Ford (LOF) in Toledo, Ohio.

Please print and bring in your completed application to any Glass City branch. (Applications will not be accepted by mail or fax.) When opening an account, members will need to bring their driver's license and a second form of identification.

Originally named the "LOF Employees Federal Credit Union," the credit union changed its name to Glass City Federal Credit Union in 1987 to reflect the addition of numerous other groups in its Field of Membership. Today, Glass City serves more than 25,000 members.

Who is eligible to join Glass City Federal?

All individuals and businesses who live, work, worship or attend school in these Ohio counties:

  • Lucas County
  • Wood County
  • Fulton County
  • Ottawa County

Immediate family members may also be eligible to join. Please call any of our branches to verify your eligibility.

How do I become a member?

Once you join Glass City Federal, you are a member for life (unless you should decide to close your account with us.)

With an initial deposit of just $25, you can open your "share," or savings, account with Glass City. Once you become a member, you are eligible for all Glass City accounts and services.
