IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR GLASS CITY FCU MEMBERS – UPDATED 8/20/08

Be on the alert for text messages or emails that are being sent to credit union and other financial institution members’ wireless devices to lure them into giving personal information.

You might receive an email or a text message via your cell phone warning that your account has been closed or that your online account access has been suspended due to suspicious activity. The message will then tell you to call a certain phone number to reactivate the account. If you dial the number provided in the message, you will be taken to an automated voice box that prompts you to enter your credit card or debit card number, expiration date, and PIN to verify your information.

Please remember - neither Glass City nor any other financial institution will EVER text-message or email you to ask for account information. Financial institutions will never request that you provide them with your credit card number, password/PIN, or other account info by contacting you in this way. If you receive emails or text messages that include these requests, please notify us and delete them immediately.

Once you open your Primary Share Account (Savings Account), you are eligible for any other Glass City account or service. Minimum balance is $25.

Secondary Savings Account
Use your Secondary Savings Account to pay real estate taxes, property insurance, or for other special purposes. No minimum balance.

Christmas Club
Save for the holidays! No minimum balance.

Vacation Club
Save for your vacation with this account. No minimum balance.

Minor and Custodial Accounts

Custodial and Minor Accounts may be opened for members under the age of 18.

MY GENERATION Primary Share Account

The Primary Share Account is simply your basic savings account with the credit union.

EXTRA SECURITY FOR YOUR DEPOSITS!

Your Savings are insured to at least $350,000 and your retirement accounts are insured to at least $500,000.

Excess Share Insurance Corporation (ESI), a licensed insurance company, provides an additional $250,000 insurance once your total savings exceed the federal share insurance limit, generally $100,000 for savings and $250,000 for retirement accounts.

Investment Accounts*

Money Market Savings
No minimum investment period. Minimum balance of $2,000. Pays higher dividend rate than regular savings.

Money Market MAX
No minimum investment period. Minimum balance of $50,000. Pays higher dividend rate than Money Market Savings.

3-Month Share Certificate
Short term investment - only 91 days. $1,000 minimum balance required.

6 to 60 Month Share Certificates
Terms range from six months to five years. Minimum balance is $500.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)*

IRA Share Certificate
Roth, Traditional or Education IRAs available. Minimum term is 12 months. Minimum balance is $1,000.

IRA Accumulation Account
Save for your IRA. Minimum balance is $25. Minimum deposit is $5. Once the account reaches $1,000, an IRA Share Certificate is issued.
