Glass City Federal CU Awards Scholarships to 5 from NW Ohio

 

Five students from Northwest Ohio have each been awarded a $1,000 college scholarship through Glass City Federal Credit Union’s annual scholarship program.

 

The James F. Halleron Memorial Scholarship was established in 2001, in honor of former Glass City general manager and volunteer board member Jim Halleron, who passed away in December 2000.

 

The 2008 winners each submitted an essay, and were selected by scholarship reader volunteers from Glass City’s community business partners.

Scholarships have been awarded to:

  • Kelsey Hatfield –  Haskins, Ohio
  • Amanda Mannon – Oregon, Ohio
  • Erin Mitchell – Oregon, Ohio
  • Amanda O’Neil – Holland, Ohio
  • Jessica Warne –  Perrysburg, Ohio
