Introducing our "Make the Switch Checklist
This upcoming Saturday, November 5, is Bank Transfer Day.
Bank Transfer Day started as a grassroots movement to encourage people to move their money from "big banks" or for-profit financial instituions to not-for profit institutions, such as credit unions.
To do our part in this movement, Glass City has created a checklist to make the switch to our credit union as quick, easy and effortless as possible.
The checklist provides a list of items you will need to bring with you, to any Glass City branch, to open an account.
After you open an account it provides a checklist of items you may need to change or have switched to your new Glass City Federal checking account; such as direct or automatic deposits and automatic withdrawals.
For more information on how to open an account or why you should open a Glass City account be sure to check out the services page or talk to a Member Service Representative by calling 419-887-1000.

Glass City Federal's 4th Annual Food Drive
Glass City Federal's food drive kicked off yesterday and will run until November 18
Bring in your non-perishable food items to any branch to help benefit several local food pantries.
Each branch has picked a seperate pantry to receive the donations, those are:
- Beach House- Secor Branch
- Church of the New Covenant- Alexis Branch
- Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry- Bowling Green Branch
- East Toledo Family Center- East Broadway Branch
- St. Pauls' Lutheran Church- Maumee Branch
This year the credit union has decided to put a spin on their food drive, adding to it a border battle theme, Ohio State versus Michgan. When you bring in your food items YOU get to choose which team you want to win, the team with the most food wins!
After making a donation we encourage you to log onto our Facebook page, facebook.com/glasscityfcu and VOTE for the branch with the best designed display, you can vote here, however you must be a fan to vote.
So, whether your a Buckeye or a Wolverine, donate some food and we ALL win!
